A Cold Weather Advisory goes into effect from midnight tonight, Jan. 5th, until 10 am tomorrow morning and throughout this week. Wind chills anywhere from 12-20 degrees can be expected within the advisory area. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Additionally, use caution while traveling outside and wear appropriate clothing, including a hat, and gloves. Remember to make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly and do not use generators or grills inside your home.
